H.Pylori

I don't often write about what I'm studying, but recently it has come to my attention that a lot of people don't know about H.pylori.

Helicobacter pylori is a bacteria that infects the stomach walls, and is a frequent cause of gastric pains; the common complaint that every student I meet (who are consequently under a lot of pressure) seem to get.

When you are infected with this bacteria, it tends to continuously irritate your stomach walls, hence producing gastric pain. (or more commonly known as peptic ulcer disease)

In any case, if you find yourself frequently attacked by gastric, do ask for a H.pylori serology or urea breath test from your clinic. You can be rid of this bacteria. All you need is antibiotics.

So yes, it's irritating but not such a big deal. It does not cause stomache cancer as far as I know; but it will predispose you to it. So get rid of it quick.

OH. and don't take panadol for pain relief in gastric pain. Panadol is acidic, and it worsens the condition. try milk instead.

hope you stay well readers! (yep I'm talking about you Huey Ee)
